WHO WE ARE

After 20 years of developing, administering, and analyzing entry-level exams and leadership assessment centers for organizations across the country to identify high-potential new hires and supervisors for placement into their new roles, I saw a consistent question - why is it that a promising new hire or supervisor does not succeed in her/his role?

Lack of knowledge or skill is often the default explanation, which inevitably leads to a “training solution” or “we hired/promoted the ‘wrong’ person.”

While this may be true, we understand the root of the performance problem is not always clear and that the thorny exterior can often hide the real problem.

At the Sawgrass Group, we believe in getting to the root of the performance problem and can navigate the thorny exterior to provide a meaningful and lasting solution. Many organizations cut away the thorny blades of grass but never get to the root of the problem… hence the name ‘Sawgrass.’

Our team has over 70 years of experience with testing and public safety testing in the U.S. We've worked with over 200 public safety organizations – including law enforcement, fire rescue, corrections, certified public safety organizations, and campus safety departments – ranging in size from 10 to over 2,000 employees.
